NOTICE — ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS By approving a quote, signing a contract, making a payment, or authorizing work to begin, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms & Conditions in full. These terms apply to all work performed, quotes issued, and invoices rendered by Quantohm Electric Services, LLC. Digital quote approval constitutes a valid electronic signature under Arizona's adoption of the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA) and the federal ESIGN Act.

1. Payment Terms

A deposit of 50% of the total quoted amount is due upon quote approval before any work begins on projects exceeding $1,000. The remaining balance is due in full upon job completion, prior to the issuance of a job completion documentation.

Invoices not paid within 15 days of the due date are subject to a monthly finance charge of 1.5% (18% annually) on the outstanding balance.

Quantohm Electric accepts cash, ACH bank transfer, and major credit cards. Personal checks are not accepted.

Deposit Requirement

A 50% deposit is required on all projects exceeding $1,000 before work is scheduled or begins. The deposit must be received and confirmed prior to placing your job on the schedule.

2. Cancellation Policy

Quantohm Electric schedules jobs in advance and purchases materials prior to the scheduled start date. The following terms apply to all projects requiring a deposit.

Cancellation More Than 72 Hours Before Scheduled Start

If no materials have been purchased or ordered, the deposit will be refunded in full minus a $25 administrative processing fee to cover non-recoverable transaction costs.

If materials have been purchased or ordered, the deposit will be refunded minus the actual cost of all materials purchased or ordered on your behalf, minus the $25 administrative processing fee. If material costs exceed the deposit amount, the customer is responsible for the difference.

Cancellation Within 72 Hours of Scheduled Start

If no materials have been purchased, 25% of the deposit will be retained plus the $25 administrative processing fee.

If materials have been purchased or ordered, 25% of the deposit will be retained plus the full cost of all materials purchased or ordered. If material costs exceed the deposit, the customer is responsible for the difference.

Rescheduling

Rescheduling with more than 72 hours notice is permitted at no charge. If a job is rescheduled to a date more than 30 days from the original scheduled start date, 25% of the deposit is forfeited as a rescheduling and holding fee and will not apply toward the job balance.

No-Access / No-Show

If Quantohm Electric arrives at the scheduled job site at the agreed time and is unable to gain access to the property, a $149 trip fee will be charged. The customer may then elect to reschedule or cancel subject to the terms above.

Cancellation After Work Has Started

If the customer cancels after work has commenced, the customer will be billed for all work completed to date plus all materials purchased or ordered. The deposit will be applied toward the balance due.

3. Written Contract Requirement (A.R.S. § 32-1158)

For all projects where the total cost of labor and materials exceeds $1,000, a written contract is required by Arizona law. Every such contract will include:

Mandatory Arizona ROC Notice (A.R.S. § 32-1158(A)(9))

The property owner has the right to file a written complaint with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors for any alleged violation of A.R.S. § 32-1154(A). Complaints must be filed within the applicable time period set forth in A.R.S. § 32-1162(A).

4. Change Orders

Any addition to, deletion from, or modification of the agreed scope of work constitutes a change order and must be authorized in writing by the customer before work proceeds. Verbal approvals are not binding.

Each change order will include: reference to the original contract; description of modified work; additional cost including labor, materials, and taxes; revised completion date if affected; revised total contract price; ROC license number; and acknowledgment by both parties.

Quantohm Electric is not responsible for delays or additional costs resulting from undisclosed site conditions discovered after work has commenced.

Change Order Process

All scope changes are documented in writing and sent to the customer for approval before additional work begins. Any change that affects price, scope, or timeline requires a new written customer authorization — the original approval does not carry over to modified scope.

Work changes will never be acted upon based on verbal instruction alone.

5. Limited Warranty & Liability

Quantohm Electric warrants all labor and materials provided under this agreement to be free from defects for a period of one (1) year from the date the work was completed and accepted by the customer, subject to normal use and conditions.

This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, modification by others, acts of nature, power surges or utility company actions, pre-existing conditions identified during assessment, or work performed by other contractors after Quantohm Electric's completion.

Upon request and after issuance of the job completion documentation, Quantohm Electric will provide a written Warranty Certificate detailing the scope, start date, expiration date, and claim process.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY ARIZONA LAW, QUANTOHM ELECTRIC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF INCOME, OR DAMAGE CAUSED BY POWER FLUCTUATIONS, UTILITY COMPANY ACTIONS, OR PRE-EXISTING WIRING CONDITIONS NOT DISCLOSED PRIOR TO WORK COMMENCEMENT.

Warranty Claims Process
  1. 1Contact Quantohm Electric within one year of job completion — call 520-858-6259 or email support@quantohmelectric.com
  2. 2Reference your job address or invoice number and describe the issue.
  3. 3We will schedule a site visit to assess the claim.
  4. 4If the defect is covered, we will repair or replace at no charge.

6. Lien Rights — Notice Required by Arizona Law (A.R.S. § 33-981)

Any contractor, subcontractor, or material supplier who provides labor or materials for improvements to your property may have lien rights under Arizona law (A.R.S. § 33-981 et seq.). If Quantohm Electric is not paid in full for work performed, we reserve the right to file a mechanic's lien against the property. Lien rights may be exercised regardless of any verbal assurances made prior to or during the project.

Preliminary 20-Day Lien Notice

A Preliminary 20-Day Notice (A.R.S. § 33-992.01) may be served within 20 days of first furnishing labor or materials in order to preserve lien rights. This notice is NOT a lien and is not a reflection on the integrity of any party — it is a standard Arizona legal requirement. Receiving this notice does not mean there is a problem with your project.

Lien Waivers — Available Upon Request

Upon written request and confirmation that final payment has cleared in full, Quantohm Electric will provide a lien waiver in the form prescribed by A.R.S. § 33-1008. Customers wishing to receive a lien waiver should request one in writing prior to or at the time of final payment.

7. Permit & Code Compliance

Quantohm Electric is licensed by the Arizona Registrar of Contractors (ROC #366120) and performs all work in accordance with the current National Electrical Code (NEC) as adopted by the applicable jurisdiction, and all applicable local ordinances.

Permits, where required, will be obtained by Quantohm Electric unless otherwise agreed in writing. Permit numbers will be recorded on the invoice and job completion documentation. Final inspections will be documented and included in the job record.

The customer is responsible for providing accurate information regarding the property, including any prior unpermitted work, which may affect cost and scope.

Important — Permit Requirement

Arizona law requires the licensed electrical contractor — not the homeowner — to pull the permit for residential electrical work in most jurisdictions. Work requiring a permit will not be covered or closed up before required inspection sign-off.

8. Scope of Work & Exclusions

Quantohm Electric is licensed to perform residential electrical work only. Our scope is limited strictly to the electrical work described in the approved quote or work order. All other trades and related work are outside our scope unless separately agreed to in writing.

Non-Electrical Work — Not Our Responsibility

Quantohm Electric is not responsible for any work outside the electrical scope, including but not limited to: drywall repair or patching, painting, tile, flooring, landscaping, trenching restoration, or any other surface or finish work that may be disturbed or affected in the course of performing electrical work.

If surface restoration is desired, it must be agreed to in writing as a separate line item before work begins. Absent a written agreement, all such work remains the customer's responsibility to arrange and fund independently.

Customer-Supplied Materials

If the customer supplies any materials, fixtures, panels, devices, wire, or equipment for installation by Quantohm Electric, those materials are explicitly excluded from the Quantohm Electric workmanship warranty. Quantohm Electric is not responsible for defects, failures, incompatibility, or damage caused by or resulting from customer-supplied materials. Quantohm Electric will install customer-supplied materials in a workmanlike manner but makes no warranty as to the materials themselves.

9. Owner Authorization & On-Site Representatives

All electrical work performed by Quantohm Electric must be authorized by the legal property owner. The property owner is the contracting party and is responsible for all charges, change orders, and payment obligations regardless of who is present on-site.

Owner Authorization Form — Required When Owner Is Not Present

If the property owner will not be present during the performance of work, a completed and signed Quantohm Electric Owner Authorization Form must be received before work is scheduled or begins. This form designates an on-site representative and defines the limits of their authority.

An authorized on-site representative may: grant site access; be present during work; sign the job completion acknowledgment; and request warranty service. An authorized on-site representative may not sign the original quote or contract, authorize change orders, authorize additional scope or cost, or modify any contract terms.

Tenant-Initiated Work

If work at a rental property is requested by a tenant rather than the property owner, Quantohm Electric requires a completed Owner Authorization Form signed by the property owner of record before any work is scheduled or performed. The property owner — not the tenant — is the legal customer and responsible party for all charges. All change orders require direct written authorization from the property owner regardless of who is on-site.

10. Copy Delivery & Receipt Requirements (A.R.S. § 32-1158(B))

The customer will receive a legible copy of all documents signed at the time of signing. A copy of any approved quote or work authorization will be provided to the customer upon request or at time of signing. For any cash payment received, Quantohm Electric will provide a written, signed receipt showing the exact amount paid.

11. Transaction Privilege Tax (TPT) & Applicable Taxes

Quantohm Electric is licensed under Arizona's Transaction Privilege Tax (TPT) Prime Contracting classification. Applicable taxes will be included in the total quoted price or itemized on the invoice as required by law. Tax treatment may vary based on whether work is classified as modification (new construction or additions) or MRRA (maintenance, repair, replacement, or alteration) under Arizona Department of Revenue guidelines.

12. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute arising from this agreement, the parties agree to first attempt resolution in good faith. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Pinal County, Arizona, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The prevailing party shall be entitled to recover reasonable attorney's fees and costs. This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Arizona.

Customers also have the right to file a complaint with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors at roc.az.gov or by calling (602) 542-1525.
